NBC staff honour Oyelekan seven years after

SEVEN years after Mr. Lateef Idowu Oyelekan, finished his tenure as the Chairman of the  Nigerian Bottling Company, NBC Plc, branch of the National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees, NUFBTE, workers of NBC have rewarded him for his contributions to the development of the union in the soft drink and other consumables manufacturing giant.

Mr. Oyelekan, now the President of NUBFTE, was recently honoured with an award of ‘excellent, innovative and pace_setting performance’ in award ceremony attended by dignitaries that included the immediate past Managing Director of NBC, Mr. Roland Ebelt

According to the leadership of the branch led by Mr Daniel Bension,  The two terms Chairman who joined the services of NBC in 1987, as a quality assurance supervisor, was being honoured for tremendously transforming and activating unprecedented development of NUFBTE in NBC.

Mr. Oyelekan rose from the unit secretary of the company in 1988, to branch Treasurer in 1993, and became acting Chairman in 1997, until he was duly elected Chairman in 1999.

In 2001, Mr Oyelekan, was re_elected un_opposed as Chairman and in 2003, elected the Deputy President of the union, a post he held till 2008, when he was elected President.
