I am in politics to restore sanity —Mohammed, Newswatch boss

DEKINA (Kogi) — DEPUTY Chief Executive Officer Newswatch Communication Limited,  publishers of Newswatch magazine, Mr Yakubu Mohammed, has sad he was delving into politics to restore sanity into the system.

Mohammed who People’s Democratic Party, PDP, supporters, weekend, in Dekina that he was joining the race for the governorship seat of Kogi State, said the duty of government all over the world was to make life more meaningful for the people they were elected to serve.

He said: “Many of our Nigerian politicians lack principles and operate without ideology and basically this is why I’m coming into politics to change the system.”

The Newswatch boss said there would be life more abundant for the people of Kogi State if elected  as governor, promising to provide employment opportunities for the unemployed, raised the social status of the people while providing medical care for the teeming population in the rural areas.

“We are putting forward to the people well researched and comprehensive programmes which took so much hard work to put together,” he said.
