Graft: Ogbulafor wants joinder in suit seeking his probe

By Ise-Oluwa Ige

ABUJA—Incumbent National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, yesterday stormed a Federal high court sitting in Abuja praying to be joined as a respondent in a suit seeking his probe over serial allegations of graft.

Human Rights, Justice and Peace Foundation, an NGO, had approached the court vide an originating motion seeking for an order compelling ICPC to probe Ogbulafor for corrupt practices ranging from obtaining gratification, embezzlement and corrupt enrichment.

Already, Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Abuja Federal high court had granted the non-governmental organisation the leave to proceed with the case.

But before the merit of the case in the originating motion is considered, Ogbulafor hired the chambers of Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN, to file an application before the court to join him as a party in the case. He was of the view that the outcome of the case would affect him.
