By  Simon Ebegdulem

BENIN CITY—EX-MILITANT leaders in Edo State have condemned the resolution passed by the Federal House of Representatives condemning the suspension of two local government council chairmen by Governor Adams Oshiomhole and the removal of Speaker Zakawanu Garuba.

The ex-militants, led by the former leader of the Niger Delta Freedom Fighters of Edo state, Mr.Robert Okubo, who also disclosed that the Ijaws in the state have endorsed Governor Oshiomhole for a second term, urged leadership of the House of Representatives to find solution to the succession problem in the presidency rather than dabbling into the internal affairs of the state.

Okubo, who spoke to newsmen after 500 PDP members decamped to the AC at Inikorogha, Ovia South West local government area of the state, warned that they should not “join forces with few individuals who want to destabilize the state due to their own personal interest.

“They should think of how to see to our president and other national issues because the removal of the speaker is an entire affair of the State House of Assembly.”

On the decision of the Ijaws to endorse Oshiomhole for a second term, Okubo asserted that “ this is the first time that the Ijaws are being appointed into government in the state. And now, he has awarded the grading of Udo-Inikorogha-Ofunama road.
