Woman, 52, found dead in hotel room

By Evelyn Usman
THE Police in Lagos have begun a manhunt for a man whose female companion died weekend in a guest room in Agege area of the state.

This is just as the identity of the female companion was discovered to be that of one Mrs Folorunsho, a married woman with five children. She was 52-year-old.

The deceased and his unidentified male companion, as gathered, arrived Ayoola Guest House located at 89, Old Ota Road, Isale-Odo, at about 8 p.m. on Friday.

However, at about 11p.m., the love birds had not checked out, even when the time they booked for had expired.

Out of concern, one of the attendants was said to have gone to knock on the door. But to his surprise, the door was not locked from within. Apparently out of curiosity, he reportedly opened the door where to his shock, Mrs Folorunsho laid still on the bed, half nude.

Confirming the incident, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Frank Mba , said policemen from Elere division were contacted.

The male companion, he said, bolted before the attendants knew about the incident.

“The body has been deposited at the Isolo General Hospital mortuary for autopsy while manhunt for her male companion is in progress. The case is also under investigation,” Mba said.
