Sapele agog as golfers tee of Ogbetuo’s inaugural

As you read this piece,  Sapele   Athletic Club Golf section is a beehive of activities. The 18 holes golf facility which is arguably the oldest in the country,  recently converted some of its browns to greens and its playing host to over 100 male and female golfers taking part in Lady Golfers Association of Nigeria (LGAN) Southern Vice President inaugural tournament.

The event is the inaugural golf tournament of  LGAN Vice President Southern zone in person of Mrs Liz Ogbetuo. Former lady Captain of Ibori Golf and Country Club, Asaba  Ogbetuo was recently named the Southern Vice President of the association and the inaugural tournament is her way of welcoming fellow golfers to what promises to be an exciting tenure in the south south zone.

Ogbetuo, the first Lady Captain of IGCC amongst other things introduced golf to a large percent of female golfers in Asaba and her emergence as the new LGAN Southern vice president is believed will take the game to the next level in the zone. Today’s event is being witnessed by LGAN national  President Mrs Ngozi Osuhor and other top executives of the association.

Also on the course, are golf gladiators like Gen. Patrick Aziza, Gen. C.K Emein, Gen. Enahoro, IGCC captain Barrister Daniel Mayuku, IGCC Lady Captain Hon. Sola Williams and other top amateur golfers from the zone. The 18 holes event has a lot of attractive prize for winners.
