A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Mr. Andrew Aganbi, has described Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s victory over his opponent in the 2007 polls, Chief Eloka Okocha, as one of the best news item he had read this year.

Aganbi in a statement yesterday, said the ultimate victory was another validation of  Uduaghan’s popularity among Deltans, especially on his programmes, which have continued to impact positively on the people.

Describing Uduaghan as a builder who has erected a structure up to the lintel level, Aganbi said Deltans should support him until he has roofed the structure, stressing that  Deltans should give the Governor a fresh mandate in 2011.

It will be recalled that Chief Okocha had gone to the Court of Appeal, praying the court to quash Uduaghan’s victory at the governorship election in 2007,  which the tribunal headed by Justice G.B. Briki-Okolosi had upheld, declaring Uduaghan as the duly elected Governor of Delta State.
