DN Tyre & Rubber Plc (DNTR) has disclosed its readiness to entice its customers at the 31st Kaduna International Trade Fair with its latest range of tyres.DNTR, which had manufactured Dunlop brand tyres as “Dunlop Nigeria Plcâ€, closed its manufacturing operations in December 2008 and now sells imported tyres.
According to a statement from the company, ‘ Despite the closure of its factory, DNTR remains the sole distributor of Dunlop tyres in Nigeria and plans to showcase its various ranges of premium brand at the Fair.
Its plan to do so is borne partly out of a desire to afford major players in the transport business and individuals within the Kaduna metropolis in particular and the Northern part of the Country in general, the opportunity to appreciate the newest products the Company has to offer which still delivers value for money.â€
DN Tyre & Rubber Plc (DNTR) as Dunlop Nigeria Plc, was the only tyre manufacturer in Nigeria until December, 2008 when it ceased local production due to the hostile operating environment and inconsistent government policies both of which had negatively affected shareholder value over the years.
According to the statement, “DNTR has promised to delight its customers and other visitors to its stand at the Fair with a ‘Bumper Offer’ of gifts. This is in appreciation of their continuous patronage and loyalty to the Dunlop brand despite the influx of sub-standard tyres into the Nigeria market over the last couple of decades.â€The Fair which opened on February 19th till close on February 28th 2010 at the Kaduna International Trade Fair Complex.
