UGHELLIâ€”CHAIRMAN of the Governing Council ofÂ Delta State College of Physical Education, Mosogar, Dr. Clement Nwawolo, has reiterated the determination of the council to work assiduously towards raising the institution to international standard.
He said the governing council would embark on the introduction of more courses that were in line with the objectives set out in establishing the college.
Nwawolo, whoÂ fielded questions from newsmen shortly after the maiden meeting of the council in the school, said the council had also decided to pursue manpower development of the college.
He stated that the staff of the institution would be encouraged to attend regular courses and in-house training and disclosed that the collegeâ€™s first convocation ceremony would hold within the next few months.
Nwawolo commended the first governing council of the school for moving the college from the scratch to its present level and assured that the present governing council was poised towards continuing from where they stopped to take the institution to an enviable height.
Moments after, at the palace of Udurhie I, the Ovie of Mosogar, the governing council chairman expressed the readiness of the council to work in unity with the management of the institution and the community for the advancement of the college.
Responding, the monarch expressed the preparedness of the Mosogar community to cooperate with governing council to move the school forward.
