Ilorin—The much-touted gubernatorial ambition of Senator Rukayat Gbemisola Saraki-Fowora in Kwara State in 2011 may have suffered a major setback as various sparkling colour posters emblazoned with inscriptions such as ‘’No way for a woman Governor, printed by ‘’Movement for Change,’ yesterday afternoon, littered the nooks and crannies of Ilorin, the state capital.
Already, Vanguard informed sources revealed that the senator has already appointed campaign officers across the three senatorial districts to realise her dreams while she reportedly sent thousands of people on hajj last year for the same purpose.
But, the governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has left no one in doubt that he will handover to someone who has been part and parcel of his administration (apparently not the senator) to continue the work after his exit in 2011.
While waiting for the announcement of the new governor by the incumbent, there were rumour of sharp disagreement between the governor and his father, Dr. Olusola Saraki over who succeeds his son.
Dr. Olusola Saraki, however, denied that the dynasty is not divided just as he said he can never quarrel his son, Bukola, on who succeeds him next year.
