RMRDC to train 50 farmers associations in Borno

MAIDUGURI — THE Raw Materials Research and Development Council, RMRDC, is to train over 50 farmers associations in Borno State on how to produce animal feeds using local raw materials to enhance fish, poultry and livestock farming  in the state.

The Borno State coordinator of the council, Alhaji Muhammad Ishaku Ganu, who disclosed this to newsmen in his office yesterday said the workshop, which will be holding on January 12 2010, was on how to teach farmers in the state the use of local raw materials to produce animal feeds.

He said the workshop was in collaboration with the Borno State Radio and Television, BRTV, and three resource persons who were expected to present papers on fish, poultry and livestock feeds production.

According to him,  the workshop will also train farmers on fishery, poultry and livestock in line with the Federal Government’s seven-point agenda
