Enugu Rangersâ€™ players and officials are still waiting for the package promised them by Enugu State governor Sullivan Chime. Rangers, prior to the Christmas break enjoyed a good run in the Globacom Premier League and the management is confident that it will continue in the New Year.
According to Rangers Media officer, Foster Chime, Rangers was able to perform creditably in the league because of the supported they got from governor Chime who held nothing back from the team. It was gathered that Governor Chime has paid the match bonuses of the players and also promised to further encourage them with a package
â€œWhat we are waiting now is the package the governor promised. He did not reveal what it would be but he did say he has a package for the teamâ€, Chime said.
Meanwhile, Rangers offloaded 15 players from its pay roll and signed 10 new players. According to Chime, the new players will inject some freshness into the team as they prepare to lift the league trophy.
