Police rescue abducted woman

ASABA—BARELY a week after the wife of a  medical doctor attached to Oleh General Hospital, Mrs.Efe Aluta,  was kidnapped while dropping off her children in school, kidnappers struck again in Warri, weekend, and abducted a woman in a church.

State Police command’s spokesman, Mr. Charles Muka, said in a statement that the victim was abducted at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Bendel Estate, Warri.

According to him, “On 22 January,  at 1730 hours, three armed men in a blue Honda Accord car, kidnapped one Enetimi Second, female, in Infinity Jeep with registration GW 134 ABC at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, Bendel Estate, Warri.

“The police, acting on prompt information, trailed the kidnappers to Effurun roundabout, rescued the woman unhurt few hours later and arrested one suspect (names withheld). The suspect made a confessional statement and we are on the heels of the fleeing gang members.”
