Police raise alarm as criminals devise new tactics

By  Austin Ogwuda

Criminals in Delta State have devised a new method of making people fall prey to their antics, the state’s police command has said.

Spokesman of the command, Mr. Charles Muka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) said in a statement in Asaba that, “information has revealed a new strategy employed by criminals as unsuspecting victims are asked to come out of gatherings, mosques, churches, eateries and social functions, etc, to re-park their cars and are subsequently robbed or kidnapped.”

Muka advised people across the state to be vigilant and endeavour to share the information with others.
Following the alarm, worshippers, especially those on night vigil, are worried over the development.

Some of them who spoke to Vanguard on condition of anonymity are divided about whether to engage the services of police during such vigils.
