The Nigeria Premier League has sanctioned the management of Lobi Stars FC over  the ugly incident that occurred in the match involving Lobi Stars FC Vs Heartland FC over the weekend in Markurdi.

The league board expresses dissatisfaction over the recent development were center referee, Kadiri Mohammed, assistant referee (I) Mike Ushie and assistant referee (II) Alfa Abdulganiyu are subjected to unnecessary intimidations and assault.|

In statement singed by the head of competition department, Mr. Tunji Babablola, state that, “Lobi Stars FC is fined the sum of One Million Naira only which is to be paid before their next home match with Bayelsa United FC”.

The statement further states that “Lobi Stars FC subsequent home matches shall be played without spectators in accordance with articles 5.6 and 5.8 of the rules and regulations of the NPL”.

The above decisions were taken as preliminary measures pending the determination of the case by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee Meanwhile, the NPL request Lobi Stars FC to identify the perpetrators for possible persecution
