Whilst most people were preparing for their special Christmas lunches and celebration some people were racking their brains, minds and expending energy on hosting a Praise Jam Concert like never before.

These people ranged from various staff of Inspiration 92.3FM, friends and supporters of the Praise Jam 2009 dream and reknown gospel artists and delegates in Nigeria.

These preparations didn’t just start overnight or the week before; they started months before, and yielded sponsorships from MTN, Federal Palace Hotel and GQ Acoustics for Inspiration 92.3FM.  All which gave birth to a successful event for the large crowds which started trooping in at 2.30pm for a show slated for 5pm; this was a record not expected or anticipated for.

The show started with Jedi as anchor coordinating family and children’s entertainment amidst the finer details for the show been finalised for the curtain call; which came at 5.00PM on the dot – No African time.

Exemplifying the great talent we have in our youths, Afresh opened the show with an acapella rendition of the Nigerian Anthem amongst other reknown songs; this was like a breath of fresh air.

Next up was a full fledged retinue of artistes and performers like Proverbs, Oluremi, Sol, Gbolahan, Mike Aremu, Beulah, Segun Obe, Pita, Lara George, Nikki Laoye, Bouqui, Slam, Buchi, Chosen Treasure, Sammie Okposo, Tosin Martins and DJ Gosperella on the turn tables churning out the music needed for the smooth flow of music to keep the guests entertained and the artistes capable of serenading the crowds.

Dance Affiliated & Sons of Liberty gave extremely great dance performances; Niki Laoye as usual wowed and owned the stage in hers too; she paired up with Sons of Liberty to have an entrée that left people in no doubt of her skill and artistry.

As anchors & comedians there was Jedi, Gordons, Koffi, Owen G, Lepacious Bose; as hosts of the occasion the formidable Dan Foster, Chaz B, Oscar, Titi, Wana & Wale Scott held forte amiably and effectively.

With no formal end to a beautiful show, was Sammy Okposo and then Tosin Martins who delivered a fuji remix of his own songs and the crowd going ballistic in octane joy and explosion of dance till fade.

Telling the truth, the timing artistry of performances is a rare skill which is to be learnt, practiced and mastered by all artistes .
