World Cup: Capello dreams England vs Italy final

England manager, Fabio Capello said that he was dreaming of  playing World Cup defending champions, Italy in the final of the South Africa 2010 World Cup.

Italian-born Capello became England coach after the three Lions suffered the humiliation of not qualifying for the 2008 European Championship, since then England has rose to be a formidable side and earned a World Cup seeding during the draws.

England have drawn United States, Algeria and Slovenia in Group C and Capello is confident his side can reach the final.

“I would love a final between England and Italy. For Italy, for me and for all of us,” he told French TV station Canal Plus. “The strangest moment will be during the national anthems. But, I am wearing a different shirt now and I must work for the England shirt.”

“My team is strong,” he said. “The fans are proud of what we’ve done, as are we. There’s a World Cup to play for and our goal is to reach the final.”

The former AC Milan, Real Madrid and Roma coach reiterated his no_nonsense stance towards discipline and will demand respect be shown for everyone at all times by his players.

“I don’t accept lack of respect,” said Capello. “That means be on time, respect the dressing_room code and table manners,” he added. “They are necessary rules to create a group. Functioning in this manner at clubs that I managed has always given results. You must have respect for the people you work with _ even those with more modest jobs, the guy who brings the papers, the guy who washes the kit.’’
