Oyo AC promises to liberate people from bad governance

By Ola Ajayi

IBADAN—Action Congress, AC, in Oyo State has assured the people of the state to expect landmark development that would usher in their liberation from bad governance and political oppression in the year 2010.

While congratulating the citizens for seeing the new year, AC, through its Director of Publicity and Strategy, Mr. Abdul Wasiu  Adewale, noted that 2009 was a period of socio-economic and political instability in Nigeria which resulted in a number of national crises.

The party said,  “As we emerged from the turbulence which characterized the 2009, AC deems it necessary to congratulate Nigerians,      particularly the good people of Oyo State who have had to weather the storm of maladministration since 2003.

It is on record that residents of the pacesetter state had their hope dashed again in 2007 general elections when PDP foisted its candidates on the people and bookmakers have always been proved right by the conduct of the present administration.

“Despite the alleged hardship on the masses by the Akala administration there is a great need to welcome the New Year with joy as every new day marks a countdown to political liberation and return of genuine democracy to the state as against the present experience of a government that thrives on deceit and propaganda.

“Certainly, Oyo State deserves a final departure from the PDP whose government provides failed promises, questionable free education, projects with inflated costs most of which collapse before commissioning.

Also, the pacesetter people cannot wait to eject a government that shares government properties among its leadership, and converted the state owned media into party machinery”, AC said.
