Sani Ndanusa, the minister and Chairman, National Sports Commission has given the Nigeria Football Federation and the Eagles a tall order that the African Cup of Nations trophy must be won in Angola.
While responding to questions shortly after the Eagles embarked on their trip to Durban for their preparation ahead the continental championship, Ndanusa said, “With all the support, there would be no excuse for failing.
“The Super Eagles must win the trophy in Angola . They have been given all the needed support, and what is left is for the players to justify all assistance they have gotâ€, Engineer Ndanusa said.
The NSC boss, who was mandated by the Presidency to disburse to the players and the team’s technical crews’ package for their South Africa 2010 World Cup ticket feat, said whatever demand they make to ensure they excel in Angola would be met.
“If all the promises the players made to me are anything to go by, there would be no cause for alarm. They are eager to win in Angola â€, he added.
