No amount of litigation can stop me — Soludo

By Enyim Enyim

ONITSHA—The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate for the 2010 governorship election in Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has said no quantum of litigations from his opponents within and outside his party would stop him from the governorship race.

Soludo stated this in Onitsha, while addressing journalists in Anambra State on his flag-off campaign, expected to take place tomorrow at the Holy Trinity Catholic church, Onitsha.

He described the litigations against him from his opponents as pre-election matters,  that could linger on for a very long time without any effect on his candidature, saying that it could even spill over to post election period.

The former central bank Governor said the issue of who was the real candidate of the PDP would be known after December 8, being the last day for political parties participating in the election to have submitted final names of their candidates.

He said the factions of the PDP,  including the aspirants who contested the primaries with him and lost, did not constitute 20% of the total population of the entire members of the party.

Soludo said that the presidential team of his campaign organisation led by the Vice President, Goodluck Jonathan would be in Onitsha today to flag-off his campaign at the Holy Trinity Catholic church.
