Lagos security council meets, pledges to re-enact Yuletide zero crime rate

LAGOS State Security Council has held its last meeting for 2009, promising to re-enact the zero crime rate recorded in the state during last Yuletide.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting which took place at the State House, Marina, commissioner of police, Marvel Akpoyibo, said the council has put several measures in place to ensure safety of life and property. “I want to advise everybody to be vigilant and stay alert. All suspicious elements should be reported to the police.

People should not forget to call our toll free emergency numbers of 767 and 112 at all times. It is not only when you are being attacked, but even when you see a neighbour’s house being attacked, call the police and we will respond immediately”.
