Overland Airways expands operations on Katsina-Abuja route

Overland Airways Business Flyer has expanded its flight operations to Katsina State, and this took effects on November 2, 2009.
According to the airline, the service will give passengers the opportunity to travel out of Katsina first thing in the morning and arrive Abuja, complete their business and then return to Katsina State same day.

Overland Airways, in furtherance of its route development and expansion policy, is the first airline to have an aircraft based in Katsina State in order to serve the travel needs of travellers in that part of the country.

Chief Operating Officer of Overland Airways, Mrs. Aanu Benson, disclosed that the airline has plans to cover the entire country.
She said:  “Overland Airways plans to have a national coverage and offer wider connections for people in the hinterland and trade centres across the country. This informed our decision to create this service for the people of Katsina.

“Our promise to our esteemed customers is that we will continue to offer and deliver innovative and unique services. She added that “Overland Airways is flying for you”.

Mrs. Benson said Overland Airways Business Flyer would offer same day return flights, on_time departure and arrival and value_added customer service to passengers on the Katsina _ Abuja route.

She said the airline will operate the flight services with the airline’s state_of_the_art B1900D specially adapted to operate effectively in the typical weather conditions associated with northern Nigeria.

The B1900D provides ample legroom and a comfortable interior that ensures a stress_free passenger experience for the duration of the flight. Its single aisle and spacious cabin offers a relaxed ambience to passengers while in the air.

According to her, Overland Airways’ expansion to Katsina will facilitate the opening up of the state to investors and leisure travelers who are in search of new opportunities and destinations.

She said it would also promote trade, tourism and create opportunities for social and economic development within the State and between Katsina and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“Overland Airways’ overriding business philosophy is to deliver an exceptional standard of service to meet the needs of our esteemed customers at all times with a high degree of professionalism,

“Overland Airways’ vision is to connect more routes to its existing network, (Lagos, Ilorin, Ibadan, Abuja, Jos, Minna, Kano and Katsina), as it continues to offer excellent service from the heart of Nigeria to the hearts of Nigerians,” Benson said.
