Governor Alao  Akala expressed his excitement at the qualification of Nigeria for the World Cup in South Africa. Speaking through his Special Adviser on Public Communications, Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Governor said the close shave with failure has made the lesson even more poignant.

He singled out Obafemi Martins for his outstanding contribution and called for a more systematic regime of commitment and training to make a landmark impression in South Africa next year.
