Nigeria’s Super Eagles left for Nairobi on a chartered flight yesterday morning ahead of their 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kenya.

The team were scheduled to leave on Thursday night, but failed to fly after their chartered aircraft failed to pass a pre_flight safety test.
The problem was only resolved early on Friday morning, and the team left nearly 12 hours behind schedule.

Nigeria are two points behind Tunisia in the race to the World Cup and need to win against their hosts, while hoping that the result in Maputo goes their way to reach South Africa.
