Bankole rules out politics in UNAAB projects

SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Mr. Dimeji Bankole has said his plans to build three hostel and administrative projects at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) has no political undertone.

According to him, his decision to sponsor the projects with finances from himself and his friend was borne out his desire to assist  his community in particuler and the state in general the area of education.

Speaking through the Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Mr. Dele Momodu during an inspection visit to the project sites at the Alabata campus of the institution, Mr. Bankole said “what we are doing here has no political undertone. It is just a means of giving back to the society.”

He then urged other people in position to emulate the gesture by contributing more positively to their community.

Mr. Momodu who was accompanied by other members of the project monitoring committee including the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Communication, Chief Kayode Odunaro said the function of his committee was to ensure that the projects were done satisfactorily and delivered on time by the contractor.

He said “members of the committee are serious minded people who have their names and integrity to protect.”
