Apologise to Anenih, group tells Oshiomhole

By Tordue Salem
ABUJA — A group under the auspices of Edo Youth For Free Enterprise, yesterday, demanded an unreserved apology from Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over a statement he made on Chief Tony Anenih.

The group in a statement by its National Coordinator, Monday Okpebholo, said, “we call on Governor Oshiomhole of Edo State to tender an unreserved public apology to the people of Edo State and Chief Anenih over his unbecoming public statements against our elder, the former BOT Chairman of PDP and the Iyasele of Esanland, which was made and broadcast over the weekend.

“The youths of Edo State are particularly disturbed because the behaviour exhibited by Oshiomhole smacks of embarrassment to the people of Edo State because we all come from where there is respect for elders.”

They alleged that, “Oshio-mhole has in the recent past curried the favour of Chief Anenih to stabilise his government and this the PDP chieftain did even when they are not in the same party, but for the interest of peace in the state.”

“We are tired of Oshiomhole’s noise in Edo State, where the roads are in horrible condition  and the ‘roofs’ of his government leaking”, the group said.

He is the only governor in Nigeria that gives a 3 kilometre road contract for N2.6billion and yet no Edo man is complaining”.
