Head Coach Samson Siasia and his troops are taking very serious Wednesday’s FIFA U-20 World Cup Round of 16 against Germany in Suez .

Both teams are camped at the expansive Stella Di Mare Hotel, in the El Ein Sokhna town, about 50 minutes drive from Suez . The match will take place at the 20,000 –capacity Mubarak Stadium on Wednesday night.

Following qualification for the knock –out stage, Siasia is re –jiggling his tactics in order to put the team in better shape after it lost two of its first round games, reaching the Round of 16 only as one of the four best third –placed teams.

“We need to do a lot to put the team in better shape. I’m not happy  finishing as one of the third –placed teams. We are working hard to put our acts together because we cannot continue to be as wasteful in front of goal.

“From this stage, there is no second chance. You just must win to go ahead, and we don’t want to go home now”.
The Nigerian contingent savoured the two –hour drive across desert land from Cairo on Sunday and players and officials immediately had lunch before resting. In the evening, the team trained at a new ground in Suez , and will also train there on Monday before having a feel of the match venue on Tuesday evening.

Should the Flying Eagles, who have created more chances than any other team at this tournament, get their acts together and overcome Germany , they will be playing the winner of the potentially crunchy all –South American clash between Brazil and Uruguay in the quarter finals.
