Surveyors commend Benin monarch’s role in national unity

BENIN—THE Benin monarch, Omo N’ Oba Erediauwa, has been commended for playing a stabilizing role in the unity and development of Edo State in particular and the nation in general.

National President of the Nigeria Institute of Surveyors, Dr. Olusola Atilola, made the commendation yesterday in Benin when he led other members of the institute on a visit to the Oba in his palace.

He also praised Oba Erediauwa for being in the forefront of preserving the rich cultural heritage of Edo people, saying that both Edo people and Nigerians were very proud of him in this regard.

He informed the Benin Monarch that he was in the state to interact with members of the body as well share in their problem, with a view to proffering solutions to them on how to move the institute forward.

Dr. Atilola, on behalf of the institute, expressed gratitude to the Oba for the growth and development of the state and prayed God Almighty to continue to grant him wisdom and long life in the service of his people.

Responding, Omo N’ Oba Erediauwa commended Dr. Atilola for his visit and urged him to improve on the performance of the surveyor institute throughout the country.
