DAMATURU â€” Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Jibrin Maigari has said that Peopleâ€™s Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe State will capitalise on the internal crisis in the ANPP to capture the gubernatorial seat in the state.
Speaking with newsmen in Damaturu, weekend, on the state of the party affairs, the minister said, â€œWe are capitalising on the internal crisis looming in the Yobe state ANPP to capture allÂ the senatorial seats and the governorship.â€
According to him, â€œwith the court case pending in the supremeÂ court and another one concerning the local government election, the PDP is poised to take over power in Yobe.
On the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the minister said the ministry has been working to assist Nigerians abroad who wish to come back to Nigeria.
The minister, who is representing Yobe East Senatorial District, said Nigerians who are jobless abroad and are ready to come back have been assisted by the ministry. He added that the ministry is working hand in hand with embassies abroad to make sure Nigerians are well taken care of where ever they stay outside the country.
Also speaking on the matter, Special Assistant to the minister, Baba S. Damagum emphasised that all the necessary documents concerning Nigerians abroad who desire to come back home are presently being processed by the ministry.
