Umuahia—GOVERNOR Theodore Orji of Abia state, has  sworn-in 27 new Special Advisers to reinvigorate his cabinet, which he inaugurated three months ago.

The Special Advisers include a woman and they are expected to mobilize the grassroots ahead of the 2011 general elections.

Addressing the new appointees, at the Michael Okpara auditorium Umuahia , Governor Orji warned that any of them who works at cross purposes with the government will be shown the way out.

The Governor also warned them against engaging in corrupt practices and urged them to shun personality clash with their Commissioners.

Orji charged them to recommend areas requiring government attention and suggest solutions. He also  charged them to discharge their assignments creditably.

According to the Governor, the new appointees should see themselves as ambassadors of the government, and warned that they should not bring their office to disrepute. He urged them to abide by their oath of office.

Orji also cautioned them against the temptation of changing their phone numbers or tinting their vehicle glasses just to avoid their people, pointing out that as political leaders of their communities,  they were expected to assist people in their areas.
