Kidnappers abduct wife of transport magnate in Delta

ASABA—A gang has kidnapped wife of a transport magnate in Delta state, owner of Agofure Motors, demanding for a ransom of N500 million to secure her release.
However, luck ran out on them as police working on a tip off have successfully rescued the woman, including her driver.

State Police command’s spokesman, Mr. Charles Muka, who gave a vivid account of the incident said “on October 7, 2009, at 9pm one Mrs. Joy Agofure, female and her driver, one Sunday Onuoro, male, were kidnapped at Agbarho and her Toyota  Camry car, registration number AL 740 EFR taken  alongside.

“However, on October 13, 2009 at 1pm” Ughelli Area command working in synergy with good spirited individuals stormed the hideout of the kidnappers at Okpalla Inland, rescued the victims and arrested ten suspects.

“The suspects have made confessional statements indicating their involvement in the kidnap. Ransom of N500 million was demanded and they will appear in court soon.”
