Guinness 250 anniversary promo ends, as 25 emerge millionaires

THE National Consumer Promotion embarked upon by  Guinness Nigeria Plc since July, 2009 to reward loyal consumers as part of activities to celebrate its 250 years anniversary existence has came to a close, even as twenty five consumers won the sum of One Million Naira (N1,000,000) each, being the worth of house rent for one year.

The announcement for the commencement of the promotion was made during the company’s 250 years’ celebration party in  Lagos Island  where the sum of twenty five million naira was earmarked as top prize for twenty five loyal consumers of the brand, being the expected worth of payment for one year house rent.
The promotion rewarded 250 loyal consumers of the brand with cash prizes of Fifty Thousand Naira each during the duration of the promotion, while another 250 loyal consumers were also rewarded with a year’s supply of Guinness.

Other categories of prizes, which were won in the National Consumer Promotion, were Guinness branded instant prizes which included 20,000 T-Shirts, 4, 500 Wrist watches, 5,000 Footballs, 200 naira worth of GSM call airtime for 150,000 consumers, and 3.1millions free bottles of the distinctive Guinness Foreign Extra Stout or Guinness Extra Smooth.

As the promotion progressed, consumers of the brands, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout and Guinness Extra Smooth from the stable of foremost brewers, Guinness Nigeria Plc got unanimous in their praise for the giant brewers as they witnessed prizes galore in the raffle draws which were held across the country. Raffle draws were held pan – Nigeria, to signal to all that it was a truly National Promotion.

In the first of the promotion’s raffle draws which was held in Lagos, Nwogu Obinna Oparaji of 13 Fola Agoro Street and George Otobo of 13, Akanbi Aiyetoro Street, both residents of Lagos emerged winners of the top prize of One Million Naira worth of house rent each, while sixteen consumers won cash prizes of fifty thousand naira each. Also, another sixteen consumers emerged winners of one year free supply of Guinness.

The raffle draws headed for the rock city of Abeokuta, where Seye Okulola emerged the top prize winner, while Joseph Ekanem of 164 Ikot – Ekpene Road, Akwa – Ibom State and Okeke Ani from Ebonyi State emerged winners of the top prize in the raffle draws held in Aba.

In Abuja, Salamatu Shaidu was the top prize winner, Emeka Mathew of 20, Edo Street in Benin, Chukwuemeka Duru and Okpanri Christian also emerged winners of the top prize of One Million Naira worth of house rent in Port – Harcourt.

In Akure, the Ondo State capital, Debo Omowole of 12, Hospital Road, Okitipupa emerged top prize winner, while Soghie Joseph, also emerged a winner in Jos, Chukwunonso Michael in Asaba, and Jessica Ikeotonye in Owerri also emerging winners of the top prize, in the various regions respectively.

In all, Twenty Five consumers of the brand have been rewarded with the top prize of One Million Naira worth of house rent each, with a total of two Hundred and Fifty consumers receiving cash prizes of Fifty Thousand Naira each, and another 250 receiving free supply of the distinctive Guinness products for one Year.

In the various regions where the draws were held impeccable and transparent nature of the draws drew a lot of kudos from stake holders.The National Consumer Promotion was hailed as a very veritable and creative way of saying thank you to the loyal consumers who have stood by the distinctive brand over the years, while also celebrating the Greatness in them.The National Consumer Promotion which was announced in June commenced on July 20th and ran till September 30th.
