…as Rangers, 3SC also record victories

Ranchers Bees Football club of Kaduna at the weekend recorded a major victory in the 2009/2010 Globacom Premier League after beating defending champions, Bayelsa United by two goals to one to claim the maximum three points at stake.

From the Ilorin Township Stadium, reports have it that Kwara United were held to a goaless draw by former champions, Enyimba of Aba who have sworn to wrestle the crown off the hands of Bayelsa United this term.
It was jubilation in Ibadan as newly promoted 3SC defeated table toppers, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi by a lone goal in a highly pulsating fixture played at the Liberty stadium, Ibadan.

Rangers Football Club of Enugu were also at their best as they subdued hard-fighting Niger Tornadoes by a lone goal to claim the three points at stake.

The story was not the same for Lobi Stars of Makurdi as they were held to a one all draw by visiting Kaduna United at the Aper Aku stadium.

Ocean Boys defeated Sunshine Stars of Akure one nil, in another exciting fixture played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City on Saturday.
Zamfara United also claimed a historic 3 – 2 victory over Dolphins Football club at the Gusau Township Stadium.
The duel between Gombe United and high-scoring Warri Wolves comes up today at the Gombe Township Stadium.
