By Kingsley Omonobi

ABUJA—Following alleged corrupt practices, misapplication of funds and outright disappearance  hundreds of millions of naira at the Nigeria Army Post Housing scheme, the Nigeria Army  command has directed that a Brigadier-General and a Colonel be put under house arrest.

The house arrest of the senior officers, who were part of the management team of Army Post Housing Scheme , is to enable a thorough investigation of how hundreds of millions of naira contributed or paid by prospective investors, including serving and retired Generals and even civilians, developed wings.

Vanguard investigations showed that the two officers are being kept under house arrest  in Abuja following the findings by a committee set up by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Abdulrahman Dambazzau to investigate the Post Housing scheme after several petitions on the matter.
