Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has condoled with the staff and management of Radio Continental on the death of one of its presenters and Head of News, Mr. Momoh Kubanji.

Mr. Kubanji, 46, died Thursday morning at the Yaba Military Hospital after a protracted illness.

In his letter of condolence addressed to the Coordinator of Radio, Mr.  Femi Sowoolu, Fashola expressed deep sorrow at the untimely death of Kubanji who, according to him, has made his mark in the media world as a presenter par excellence.

“It is always a thing of sorrow to lose a worker as enterprising as Mr. Kubanji”, the Governor said.

Governor Fashola said the exit of Mr. Kubanji has, without doubt, created a vacuum in the nation’s media, especially the broadcast media where his voice ruled the waves for more than two decades even as he plied his trade most professionally at the different organizations where he worked and especially at Radio Continental.

He prayed that God may grant the soul of the departed sweet repose and his family, colleagues and admirers the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
