Etisalat produces Nine Millionaires in Sokoto

No fewer than Nine new     millionaires emerged in the Etisalat 9jillions promotion last week, in the Sokoto edition of its One9ja million dollar game show. The game show, which held weekend in the seat of the caliphate, Sokoto State, witnessed a massive turnout of participants as over N11 million was given away by the telecommunications company during the show.

The Sokoto edition of the one9ja million dollar game show is the 8th and final regional game show before the grand finale, where one lucky subscriber will win one million dollars.

Among the millionaires produced are Nurudeen Bello, Fadairo Bukola, Murtala Mohammed, David Ogbolu and Abdulrahaman Ismail, who won N1.1 million each. Abdulnasir Hammed, Abosede Adenike, Abiodun Abdulkadir and Abdulmalik Iyal walked away with N1 million each.

Other winners in the one hundred and fifty thousand and the fifty thousand naira category include Shakira Ahmed, Abubakar Abdulahi, Zayyanu Shehu, Muda shiru Bashiru and Mustapha Bello among others.

Speaking to the media at the game show, Head of Sales for the region, Ken Ogujiofor, expressed satisfaction at the level of participation by customers in the promotion. “We are impressed with the enormous interest and participation by our subscribers in this promotion so far. Over 4000 mobile phones were won in the first phase of the promotion between June and September. In the regional game shows, we have given away over N90m to lucky subscribers, with 65 Nigerians made millionaires through the promotion”.

Ken maintained that the company’s drive to enrich the lives of its subscribers through the 9jillions promotion is in full gear. “With the conclusion of the Sokoto edition of the One9ja million dollar game show, we are now one step closer to the grand finale, where one lucky subscriber will walk away with our grand prize of one million dollars. This is the biggest prize award in Africa ever and it is encouraging to see the enthusiasm our customers from all over the nation have shown in the promotion”, he said.

Fadairo Bukola, a gold merchant who participated in the Sokoto edition was very excited as she described her experience. “This is God’s blessing directly from heaven. I have been planning to expand my business and Etisalat has just made that dream come true on a platter of gold”. Bukola together with her friends Abosede Adenike Suleiman, Abiodun Abdulkadir and Yusuf Garba all won total cash prize of N3,150,000 (three million one hundred and fifty thousand naira).
