Football fans in Nigeria and across Africa will have the opportunity to listen, read and view exclusive news about the 2010 Africa Nations Cup in Angola over the coming months following the launch of ‘football feast’ by Standard Bank, sole sponsor of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations.

According to Clement Motale, Director Group Sponsorships, Standard Bank, intimate portraits of African football stars will be aired on television stations in Nigeria and 11 eleven other African countries to give “fans the opportunity to learn all they need to know about Africa’s football stars and the history of football across the continent.”

Each episode of the series, he said, will run for 48 minutes, and will examine the history and development of the game in Africa, feature interviews with football stars and gurus and provide insight into the preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Football fans can also keep in touch with our interactive AFCON website on which will feature  information relevant to the tournament including fixtures, scores, team and stadium information, player profiles, downloads and a fantasy leagues.
