Dutse — A former member House of Representatives, represented Birnin-Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency, Alhaji Farouk Adamu Aliyu (ANPP) has said that there is nothing to celebrate on Nigeria’s 49th year of independence. He  faulted the elites and politicians for the woeful failure of the nation.

Speaking to newsmen,  weekend, the former anti-third term federal lawmaker explained that politicians and elites are personalities that have contributed in the total failure the country recorded in the last 49 years, adding that the civilian administrations have ruled the country for over ten years with nothing to show for it.

“We politicians and the elites have contributed in the total failure of this country.  Lack of good leadership and insincerity among the people we elected to rule us as well as corruptions, mismanagement of public funds are the only achievements recorded since independence,” he said.
