By Kingsley Omonobi

ABUJA – A two-day retreat for Chiefs of Staff to governors of the 36 states of the federation, will hold in Abuja, in a fortnight at the Protea Hotel, Asokoro with Dr. Jonathan Powell, Chief of Staff to former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair between 1997 to 2007 as Special Guest Lecturer.

Organised by Brickred Consult and Red Carpet Protocol management firms, the retreat whose theme is “Process Driven State Governance and the Chief of Staff as the engine of state operation,” aims to equip Chiefs of Staff of Governors with the contemporary strategic information on how they as the clearing houses of the governors can assist them in achieving the set goals of the state governments.

A statement made available to Vanguard by Jimmy Onaiwu noted that other speakers at the retreat are state governors who have played the role of Chief of Staff in the past as well as prominent ex-Chiefs of staff at the federal level.

It is expected that the retreat will at the end empower the Chiefs of Staff with additional tools to help with the effective and seamless administration of their states.
