Skipper Nwankwo Kanu has urged Nigerians to pray hard for the Super Eagles as they tackle Tunisia on Sunday in one of the World Cup qualifying matches at the Abuja National Stadium.
The Portsmouth of England striker said that prayer remains the magic that would help the Eagles dislodge the North Africans from the headship of their Group B table.
“We are prepared as a team and as humans. We are going to do our best against the Tunisians but I beg Nigerians to pray for us so that we can play well. We have seen that prayer is an important aspect in anything we do. We need it and will rely on it to beat the Tunisiansâ€, he said as the players tidy up for the crunch battle. The Eagles played out a barren draw with Tunisia in the first leg which saw them lead Nigeria with two points.
