By Austin Ogwuda
ASABA—A female staff of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba has allegedly been kidnapped.
She was the Director of Works Services at the College.

Competent sources told Vanguard in Asaba yesterday that the woman whose name was given as Mrs. Kate Onyeme was picked up from  her residence at about 8:00pm on Sunday by six armed men.

She was said to have been accosted at the gate while driving into the compound and forced into a waiting bus by the abductors.

Family sources said the kidnappers have established contacts with them and are demanding for N100 million ransom before the woman would be left off the hook.

Contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Charles Muka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), confirmed the story, saying “yes, we are investigating the kidnap of the woman”.
