Int’l Energy Insurance reasures on CRS

The management of International Energy Insurance Plc (IEI) has assured that the company will continue to give back to the society in fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility function as International Energy Insurance Plc donated 12 wheelchairs to Basket Ball Association of Nigeria.

The management of the company said the rational behind the sponsorship was informed by the need to enhance other sporting activities in the country alongside football and fulfill its CSR mandate.
The company’s rising CSR profile which has received international recognition informed the sign-on of IEI as the official underwriter of the FIFA under 17 world cup tournament billed to hold in the country in October.

In another development, the management said that IEI which came to being through the acquisition of the former Global Insurance Company Limited in 2003 by some visionary investors has grown to become a force to reckon with in the financial service sub sector providing services in pension fund administration, asset management, real estate
as well as insurance.

The 35 year old underwriter, according to report is also leading force in oil and gas underwriting with a capital base in excess of N15 billion making it the highest capitalized insurance company in Nigeria today. “Our company has grown to become a group providing services in pension through IEI pension Limited, IEI Asset Management Limited and of course, the insurance.
Our focus is to own a bank.” Management reiterated.
It will be recalled that International  Energy Insurance plc rebranded after the acquisition of Global Insurance Company Limited in 2003.
