Globacom Limited, the Official Sponsor of the Super Eagles has offered to sponsor 1000 football fans in Abuja to watch and cheer the Super Eagles in Sunday’s World Cup qualifying match against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia at the Abuja National Stadium.
The 1000 fans will be selected from GloMobile subscribers who can qualify for the ticket by sending a text message to a dedicated short_code; 35006. Samson Isa, the Head of Globacom’s Value Added Services (VAS) team explained that the free ticket offer is a further contribution of Globacom to the mobilisation effort of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC).
“This special offer is a loyalty reward scheme for GloMobile subscribers in Abuja and our further contribution to the call by the NFF President for Nigerians to turn up enmasse at the stadium in support of the Super Eaglesâ€, Isa explained.
The Globacom official said that the first 1000 fans to send the text to the short code will be invited to the company’s regional office in Abuja to receive their tickets. “Fans who are GloMobile subscribers can simply text ‘Goal’ to the short code 35006 and the first 1000 entries will qualify for the ticket. They will subsequently receive a text message inviting them to the Globacom Regional office in Abuja for ticket collectionâ€, Isa noted. He said fans can send as many text messages as they can afford to increase their chances of clinching the tickets.
