FG donates drugs to Adamawa to combat cholera

Yola -  As parts of measures to curtail cholera epidemic now ravaging Adamawa State, the Federal Government has donated drugs and medicaments worth millions of Naira.

Receiving the consignments in Yola yesterday, Adamawa Commissioner for Health, Dr. Zainab Kwomchi, expressed government’s delight for the quick intervention of the Federal Government to save the lives of the people.

Kwomchi promised that the drugs would be judiciously used for the purposes intended for and advised the affected communities to always observe personal hygiene and ensure clean environment.

Presenting the drugs, an official of the Federal Ministry of Health, Mr. Aniefiok Moses said the Federal Government was concerned on the plights of the victims, hence the need for the Federal Ministry of Health to support the state with its meagre resources.

Mr. Aniefiok Moses added that more of such aids are on the way for effective control of the situation in Adamawa State and appealed for optimum utilization and application of drugs in order to safeguard public health.
