Former Green Eagles and Bendel Insurance defender, David Adiele is optimistic the Super Eagles will beat Tunisia and overtake them as Group 2 leaders to brighten their chance of picking the group’s sole 2010 World Cup ticket.

Despite his optimism, Adiele who was part of the 1980 Green Eagles Nations Cup winners said that the refusal of the team’s technical crew to a friendly match during the recent FIFA free day was not good for the team.

Stressing that such matches are meant to toughen the team and give them the desired blend for a competitive game like the crucial World Cup Qualifier against Tunisia. He said he believes that “if the coaches work harder, they will get what the want from the match.
