A staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr.  Andrew Aganbi, has called on Deltans in general and Waferians in particular to keep their cool in the face of the world soccer governing body FIFA clampdown on Warri Stadium for the forthcoming Under 17 soccer fiesta, Nigeria 2009.

Aganbi, who spoke in Warri over the weekend, was of the opinion that FIFA used only an ostensible reason to disqualify the stadium. According to him, the real reason was the festering Niger Delta crisis and not the stadium, since the stadium is reputed to be one of the best in the country and Deltans being the number one in sports. He further advised Deltans to keep on supporting the sports-loving Uduaghan administration that has left no stone unturned and has also taken Delta sports to the next level.

Aganbi observed that it was not the will of God for Deltans to host the world and advised them to put the unfortunate incident behind and forge ahead in their various endeavours.
