Abuja -  Former All Nigeria People’s Party Leader in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Faruk Adamu Aliyu, was Monday whisked away by members of the State Security Services over what they considered his inciting statements on the Government of President Umaru Yar’Adua.

The radical politician was picked from Kano and flown to Abuja, a source related to Aliyu’s wife confirmed yesterday.

Aliyu who served as member of the House from Jigawa State from 1999-2007, was also the Deputy Chairman of House Committee on Media and Public Affairs.

Barely few days ago, a former Minister of Information, Mr. John Nwodo, was held by security men over the same charges.
