KANO — Slovenian   Kano Pillars Football Coach,  Sajh Scheich Ivo, says he is already looking at the semi- final stage of the prestigious CAF champions league following the battering of  Sudanese side, El Merrihk  3-1 in the CAF Champions League in Kano.

The coach during a post match press conference expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the result that now placed the Nigerian CAF hopefuls on top of the league table in Group A.

The Slovenian coach who admitted to his boys lack-lustre performance during the second stanza of the explosive game noted it was wrong to fall back on defence after scoring two goals in the first half.

‘The result is ok, I am already looking at the semi-final stage and I will work on the noticeable lapses to improve their performances in the next game’, Ivo stressed.

The explosive encounter saw the Nigerian team drew the first blood in the 13th minute when Victor Namo meandered his way during a goalmouth scramble to net a beautiful goal.

Victor Namo was on song again in 32nd minutes when he converted a beautiful pass from Shehu Shagari into the net for the second goal.
The Sudanese team inspired by two Nigerian internationals, Stephen Worgu and Endurance Idahor troubled the Pillars areas before the time out.

The second stanza saw the Pillars coming under considerable pressure from the visiting team, and it resulted in the goal scored by Endurance Idahor on the 60th minutes of the game.
