GOVERNOR Jonah Jang of Plateau State returned from a trip to India, yesterday, vowing not to be distracted by the activities of those he said were being used to destabilize the state.
He, however, warned those he called enemies of the state to repent or face God’s wrath.
Addressing a crowd of supporters who thronged his Du residence to welcome him, he said the attempt to divert the attention of his administration or destabilize the state would fail, noting: “the devil has lost his battle over Plateau State; we have no cause to be worried because we shall come out stronger in whatever situation we find ourselves.â€
The governor called for continuous prayers for the state expressing confidence that Plateau was a destined state against which no evil plan would materialize.
According to him, “All efforts by detractors of Plateau State to destabilize it would fail. As a matter of fact they have already failed. Plateau would remain a united Plateau.
I would want to advise our brothers and sisters in Plateau State that have been misled to retrace their steps because this is a battle for Plateau State and Plateau State must be saved. Plateau is not a pariah state.â€
Jang declined to comment on the recent dssolution of the executive of factions of the PDP in the state, saying it was already in court and therefore subju dice.
