2010 : APGA chieftain cautions PDP aspirant on guber ambition

By Vincent Ujumadu

Awka – The Anambra State chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA, Akunwata Mike Kwentoh, has advised the governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu to tread softly on his aspiration, urging him to desist from activities that tend to portray some individuals in the state in bad light.

Kwentoh was reacting to  statement credited to Obiogbolu, while presenting his manifesto to members of the civil society in Awka, during which he levelled allegations against Governor Peter Obi.

The governorship aspirant had showed pictures of some roads and erosion sites, which the present administration executed and argued that some of the projects had already failed.

He had also condemned the provision of computers and the equipping of laboratories in schools in Anambra state, saying that they are misplaced projects and accused the Governor of spending an average of N2 billion yearly as security votes and has so far received about N126 billion from the federation account.

But the APGA chairman faulted Obiogbolu’s position, recalling that he participated in the administration of Dr. Chinwoke  Mbadinuju, where he served as Chairman of Local Government  Service Commission and as the boss of Anambra State Environmental Protection Agency, adding that  there was nothing on ground to show that he offered any useful advise to that government in the areas he served.

He urged Obiogbolu to embrace the politics of love, rather than that of vendetta if he hoped to go far in politics.
